I start into a clear and crisp morning with a great view on the Perda Liana mountaintop. As I pass by, I stop and take the quick hike up to the base of the magnificent cliff. I continue and visit a 12th century castle ruin on the way.

Going off-road again for a bit, I find that the road is quite washed out in places and I need to detour. After a steep downhill, I find myself in a grassy plain, with no apparent road. I cross it to the river beyond and soon find a crossing and the road on the other side.

As I climb up the next hill, dark clouds begin to draw in and as I near the summit, it starts raining hard. For the next hour, I pass a large field of wind power plants, and all the while it rains on and off.

Just 20 minutes after the rain ends I’m dry again, with the warm wind on the downhill acting like a blow dryer. The evening is sunny again.
