As gusts of icy wind make me shiver, I watch the sunrise at 3718 m.

I took the bus to Teide, up to the cable car station at 2300 meters. From here I hiked to the other side of the Teide plateau and up the Guajara mountain. At 2718 m much lower than Teide, it allowed a fantastic view on the surrounding mountain range.

Hiking in the northern mountains from Tengueste to Cruz del Carmen and Punta del Hidalgo. A great 20 km walk, which I maybe did in the wrong direction. The start from Tengueste was good, a 300 m ascent with a view on distant Teide. Then followed a basically flat walk...
