After a few kilometres alont the Seine, I take a wrong turn and end up in Moret-Loit-sur-Loing, a beautiful medieval town definitely worth a visit.

Continuing to Fontainebleau, I’m struck by the size of the chateau and even more its 80 hectar parks. I’m sure that a visit of the inside could fill a rainy day, too.

After lunch in the English garden, I continue on the final stretch. The forest paths are so sandy that I give up after a few kilometres and go back onto the road, where progress is much faster and I reach the campground around 3 p. m.
