I rise early and the day starts bright and sunny. Blue skies everywhere and almost no wind at all.

The hilly route along the coast has some very steep but short climbs and I can enjoy the sunny views over the landscape.

I make a little detour to see famous Eilean Donan Castle. A good choice, as this is a real and still really beautiful castle. If there just weren’t so many tourists and that lousy bagpiper…

After a short break I ride on to Skye, over the arched bridge. On the island, the weather turns a bit and clouds draw near.
At 4 p.m. I decide to call it a short day and stop at Sligachan campground.

My optional trip to Talisker is canceled due to rainfall in that direction.
