The Col d’Agnes was first on the list this morning. With a steep start and an almost flat stretch at the top, it was rather unusual. Still, another 800 m elevation down in the books. The weather was overcast and stayed so all day but it was warm enoigh and pretty much ideal cycling weather.

At the top of the Col d’Agnes horses and a cow herd stopped me shortly.

From here to the Port de Lers was just a short descent and equally short ascent. The downhill from here was a very nice, narrow road.

That was pretty much the highlight of the day. The rest was riding on too large roads with heavy traffic, being turned away (asked to wait 2 hours) at the Niaux caves, and the first part of the ascent to Andorra.
