I start off late-ish and try to find some nice trails before heading out of the Jura. Unfortunately, the recent rain has made even the forest roads so muddy that I have trouble getting up the hills. So I switch to the roads and ride out of the Jura, crossing the Loue river in Quingey and the over one last hill back to the Doubs.
From here, shortly before Besançon, I follow the EV6 cycleway all the way to Mulhouse. With a light tailwind it’s easy going and I make such good progress, that my original plan to stop after Mulhouse and do the last part tomorrow goes out the window. I ride all the way home.
